I drove into Singapore in 2006. Every foreign car need to apply for car card. Need to load some amount of money & later get it scanned at immigration checkpoint. 20 dollars will be charged to this card for every single day we stay, except week end. Failing to do this will end up with 200 dollars fine.
There is another card so call 'octopus card' where we can use everywhere- shopping, pay for train/bus tickets, parking, etc. Most shopping complex only accept cards for parking fees & you'll be in trouble if you dont own one..many places do not accept cash.
